Amy first studied film and journalism before realising that veterinary nursing was her vocation. Amy has worked in many small animal clinics, a large animal hospital and has also worked as a vet nurse in the United Kingdom. Amy loves all aspects of veterinary nursing in particular inpatient care, senior health, clinical pathology and emergency nursing. However, it is the bond between patient and nurse that Amy values most.

Amy helped Dr Will in establishing JSVet back in 2011 and with her nursing background and experience, was promoted to Practice Manager in 2017. Amy and Will work closely together as the management team to keep JSVet constantly evolving and to ensure this clinic stands out from the rest.

At home, Amy spends time with "Elvis Presley", a 5 year old rescue Burmese cat, who does believe he is The King. Each time Amy brings him to the clinic, he leaves with one less tooth.

Renee decided to become a vet nurse after working many years in different jobs and not finding her "passion". That was until Renee found veterinary nursing and since then has not looked back.

Renee came to Johnston Street in 2014 where she completed her formal training for her Certificate IV. Renee thrives on busy days, hospital patients and looking after patients form the start of their "visit" or procedure and then discharging them, seeing them for rechecks and building a relationship with them as they grow. Renee quickly progressed to a Senior Nurse position due to her hard work ethic and maturity before going on maternity leave at the start of 2018.

Renee now fills in casually whilst balancing motherhood with baby girl Billie and also caring for her fur kids Tank the French Bulldog and Scabbers the cat.
